About Parsy

Household spending is the expense people understand least — the totals are on the card statement; what is inside them is not anywhere. Grocery bills are the clearest case: fifty lines, read by no one.

Parsy exists to close that gap. You photograph the receipt — whether it is the weekly shop, a tank of gas or the Target run — and the app turns it into an item-level record you can actually look at: what you bought, what it cost, what it cost last time, and — once enough households have bought the same thing — what it usually costs at that store.

We built it as a subscription rather than an advertising business on purpose. Receipt data is intimate, and there is no version of “free” that does not eventually involve selling it.
